The Village of Harveysburg, located in Warren County, has a population of around 550 residents.
Harveysburg is best known for hosting the Ohio Renaissance Festival every year during the late summer and fall. This festival starts in late August and goes through October.
Harveysburg was originally laid out in 1829 by William Harvey, after whom the town was named; it is approximately one square mile in size. During the time of slavery, the founder’s family were ardent abolitionists. So much were they, in fact, that they established the Harvey Free Negro School in 1831. Since 1839, a post office has been in operation there in Harveysburg.
